Netherdale is in the depths of the Yorkshire Dales, and is based on real locations with their names changed. Those who live there today will recognise them, and may even recognise some of the characters in the books. Mhonarr Castle? Well, that might be somewhere in Scotland, or it might not… No-one knows really, but there’s no way to get there except by magical means, so you’re not going to stumble across it on your travels. You’ll also not find it in the first book of the series, for Mhonarr only makes its appearance in the second book, Zak Turner – Wizard Summer.

Great series, just a step down from the Harry Potter series, but still five stars. I'm in my fifties, yet still this kept me entertained and wanting more. Sure, there are some similarities to HP, but plenty of differences. Kids will LOVE them!Product details

I picked this book up on a whim. I am glad I have. it is an engaging book that kept me what will happen next. not all the mysteries have been solved. I wonder what is going to happen next. so I am pleased to find out the second book is already out and that is what I am going to start now.
This was a pretty good book. It has a Harry potter feel to it. It has a really good story and the characters are really interesting. Can't wait to read book two. I would recommend this book.
